## The Platform

Buying a residential solar system in the region is opaque — homeowners don't know what they need, installers don't know what they can sell, and quotes vary wildly between vendors. SooqSolar is a marketplace that turns "I think I need solar" into a vetted shortlist of installers and a comparable set of quotes within minutes.

## Our Approach

We built SooqSolar as a two-sided marketplace anchored by an energy calculator — homeowners get a sized system spec before any installer is involved, installers onboard through a vetting flow before they can quote, and instant quotes flow back to customers so they can compare apples-to-apples.

## Key Features

- **Energy Calculator**: Homeowners enter their consumption profile and get a sized system spec — panel count, inverter range, expected output — before any installer is involved.
- **Verified Installer Network**: Solar companies onboard through a vetting flow before they can quote, raising baseline quality on the supply side and protecting customers from unqualified vendors.
- **Instant Quote Generation**: Customer specs feed installer dashboards, which return instant quotes that customers can compare apples-to-apples rather than chasing vendors one by one.
- **Multi-platform Reach**: A Flutter client for homeowners and a React dashboard for installers — both backed by the same Node.js API and PostgreSQL data model.
